I finished reading this book about a week ago, I have to say if you love good book set in old Paris this is a lovely book to read. I found myself starting to get attached to the characters particularly the main girl. The shift in viewpoint keeps you interested, as you know information than poor Hadley Richardson straight away raising the empathy levels. I feel Mccain purposely changes viewpoint to really give you an insight to Ernests deterioration.
It is a light read but enjoyable.
It is a truly fascinating fiction novel that transports you back time however, perhaps the ending a little predictable as you begin to understand the characters.
