New year New beginnings right?

Happy New Year Everyone!

I have good feelings about this year, I mean it is the year that I've finally got a ticket to the one and only Glastonbury Festival and I'm turning 18, that ripe old age when you're supposedly and adult and ''mature'' which can safely be said is not me. Academically this year is going a lot better, I am trying to stay as organised with my time as I can which is sooo hard.

New Years Resolution numero 1- Be organised yes that means waking up in time for college and NOT being late. ooo yeah and perhaps this will be the big year Ellie has a tidy bedroom the whole year not just 2 days of the year it being tidy.

I'm not really off too a particularly good start because being ill for the past 3 weeks has meant I was having a bit of a slow start work wise and am now playing catch up, a mentally busy catch up.
(good start to resolution numero one there ellie)

The driving lesson are the same as usual wasting an absolute tonne of money on something which I am awful at and will probably take me a gazillion times to actually past but it will be done at some point. Who needs a car anyway you cant get a little moped with a provisional that'll get me from A to B. Although on second thoughts I'd probably look a bit of a numpty.

New Years Resolution No.2 PASS DRIVING TEST!

The Art side of things is going well, trying to complete my final pieces at the moment which are a set of 3 original photographs taken in Manchester that are going to be painted. The first one has gone well and not so sure on the other two but too be fair they are hard photos. In Textiles I'm making a little fabric book about me and my dog, Alfie and we go on a fantasy adventure I can't wait until it is complete.
Also in the Christmas holidays I visited the Liverpool Tate to see the Andy Warhol exhibition. I thoroughly enjoyed it but my mum and sister seemed quite disappointed with the lack of artwork and that it wasn't work the journey. Although they were comparing it to a Warhol exhibition they had seen previously at the Lowry Art Gallery which I had not been too, so I didn't have any expectations.
I am also very excited for the Alexander Mcqueen Exhibition which is expected to hit London and hopefully I shall be able to make it down to see the magnificient masterpieces. That can be a sneaky sort of resolution to visit London.

This year is the year I find out if I have a place on an Art Foundation course but I think I'm staying at my college. I'm so excited to be able to focus wholly on my Artwork, fingers crossed.

I've been trying to read recently as well, I find it's a perfect stress reliever.
I have read:
-The Book Of Lost Things By John Connolly
I thought this book was very gripping and wasn't anything like I've ever read before. I did find it a little creeping and triggered quite a few weird dreams. If you're into gripping fantasy novels that tells a tremendous adventure story then this is for you

-The Night Circus- Erin Morgenstern
Now the plot to this story doesn't really exist, it's an interesting read but I found it hard to keep up with and had to concerntrate to keep up with the story. Definately not the kind of book if you're like me and start reading and don't for a couple of days well with this story when I did that I struggle to remember what was happening. I still need to finish it and can't myself rushing back to it.However if you're a reader who likes to rattle your brains before bed with a bit of hard thinking then go for it, the description written in this books forces you into the most magical world.

-The Paris Wife- Paula Mclain
I  am loving this book, I love stories of romance. I does have depressing moments but you feel truly empathetic towards the lady whom is telling us the story about her life. I am still part way through this book but will let you know what I  think once I've finished.

-IS IT JUST ME?-MIRANDA HART
Only just started this book but you will laugh out loud. It's the kind of book that you can instantly relate to, it will cheer you up, will make you feel faith in humanity is restored (there are nice people in the world kinda make you want a personal miranda friend kinda book) and is an easy read that can be pick whenever you just want to smile. That kind of book. and yes stage of reading= uncomplete

New Years Resolution number ten thousand- READ BOOKS. FINISH BOOKS!

One resolution that I really want to keep is too be positive and not be so quick to go into panic mode and stress. I have realised that it isn't healthy to get so stressed and I think I just have to remember you can have as much time as you want to do anything, there's always the opportunity to re-sit exams. So my final resolution for this post anyway is Don't stress just relaaaaax.
