Madrid

Hola amigos,

We finally arrived in Madrid after the long wait to visit my sister. She is au pairing with a family in Madrid, which I think she has found quite challenging but shes enjoying all the new experiences. (I get to meet the two little girls shes caring too!!)

We landed safely and it was a very smooth ride on our little ryanair aeroplane ;) cheap and cheerful's always best. The taxi driver who appeared confident to know our accomadation dumped us right outside an unknown building.  Thanks to my uncles little map that he sent for my sister we found our way and we were only about a mile away (hmmm just our luck).

The square we are staying is lovely and my sister was waiting there to greet us. It was such a lovely moment.

For most of today we ventured a little around madrid and had some nibbles. We saw the palace and the cathedral, it is soo beautiful inside, the golds and bright colours had me mesmerized the entire visit. When we returned to the appartment I had a little nap on the terrece. There is a swingchair that rocked me to sleep after only sleeping for an hour last night.
